May. 25th, 2016 05:26 pmHow does this work? You and one (or two or three I don't care) other people are trapped in a room and have to pick who is sacrificed and who is saved! Picking up the knife or flower will count as making that choice, and your character will know this!
Do I have to make a choice? No. Your characters can decide to leave the items and refuse, but both will suffer consequences. They'll get the impression the consequences will be very dire.
Can I play with more than one person in multiple different threads? Yes! Yolo and timey wimey shit all you want. Have every trauma date. Have a trauma threesome!
Do I or my CR have to get maimed to participate? No! Consequences can range from incredibly bloody and painful to a mild tummy ache or hangnail. It's up to what's fun for you to play with. If you want to have the tension of threading making a choice (or choosing not to make one) but don't want to get mangled in the end, that's fine! Some kind of consequence has to happen but it doesn't have to be any more severe than a headache.
But I want to be maimed! How can I be maimed? Great! This post is here for you. You can pick any kind of maiming that you like, or multiple types. Missing eye or limbs? Bloody mangling? Weird stitching painfully appearing everywhere? Body horror of any kind? Whatever you want! You can even suffer things like beheading! BUT NOTE that if something would be immediately fatal to your character normally, it won't be fatal in this post if you choose it. Even beheading. Though you'll probably want to get that fixed at the theater.
Wait I can't die? Not quite. If you want to kill off your character via injuries that's fine, but "death" itself is not a punishment that will be handed out. That's the one rule. However if you choose the punishment "multiple stab wounds" or something, you can have you character die from blood loss if you really want.
But you said we could survive beheading! You can do that too if you want. Because carrying your own head to the theater to fix is one way to roll! It's really up to you the extent, severity and permanence of the consequences. What's fun? Do that!

Here's a list of SOME potential consequences if you have trouble thinking of anything but it's all about what you'll have fun with. Make up your own! Anything short of immediate death is fine. As for who suffers the consequences, either the person who picks up the knife or both participants if no choice is made.
Why is immediate death out? Tristan isn't trying to straight up murder anyone, so no one will be straight up murdered. If you want to die from injuries though, again that's up to you.
Are you going to be handing out the punishments? Nope. You get to decide.
Can my character talk to Tristan? They can try. But he won't answer.
Can my character sense Tristan's magic? Can they escape his magic? Yes they can sense it if you want. Whether they can escape or not is up to you, if that's a more fun thread for you go for it! If you instead want to find your character somehow can't because you want to play with the post as it is, that's also fine.
What about healing? There will be a top level in the post for healers to offer services or for people to request a healer! You don't need to use that post if you'd rather pay at the theater or if you want to suffer longer term consequences feel free to find the theater is having one of its random off hours or isn't open when you try.
I have additional questions! Go for it! But keep in mind I'm not policing this post or how you play in it, if you want to do something you can pretty much assume the answer is "yeah go for it!!"
